Tyler Krobetzky enters his third season as a part of for the Lady Techster Softball coaching staff.

In 2023 Krobetzky impact on the Lady Techsters' bats were evident as he helped guide Kylie Neel and Katelin Cooper to some of the top single season RBI marks in program history. Neel batted .351 with 17 extra-base hits and a team-leading 45 RBI which ranked fourth in program history while Cooper's 42 RBI were the seventh-most by a Lady Techster in a single season.

He was an integral part of the Lady Techsters run to the 2022 Conference USA regular season title and 39 wins, the eighth most in program history.

Krobetzky arrvied in Ruston after spending the 2020 and 2021 seasons as a part of Josh Taylor's coaching staff at Nevada, serving as the volunteer assistant and camp coordinator. While there, Krobetzky assisted with the instruction of the catchers and hitters. The 2021 Nevada team had two players earn First Team All Conference honors and three players earn Second Team All Conference honors.

Krobetzky had an extensive baseball career, playing and coaching internationally and professionally for seven years.

He spent 6 months in Auckland, New Zealand, helping the Central City Mariners to a runner up finish in the country’s national tournament and assisting in coaching the club’s U15 team. He has also spent time in Japan, Australia, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, South Africa, and the Czech Republic.

Before his international career, Krobetzky spent three seasons playing independent professional baseball for the Old Orchard Beach Surge in Maine, the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings in Texas, and the Hilo Hawaii Stars on the big island of Hawaii.

Krobetzky received a degree in psychology from Spring Arbor University in Michigan after transferring from Saddleback Community College in California.

Krobetzky was born and raised in Orange County, California.

Chelsea Cohen enters her third season at Louisiana Tech serving as the pitching coach for the Bulldogs.

In 2023, Cohen led the LA Tech pitching staff to a historic season as the Bulldogs 2.38 team ERA was the lowest since 1999. Tech pitchers combined for 12 shutouts and seven complete games over the course of the season.

Under Cohen's guidance the Louisiana Tech pitching staff threw 24-consecutive scoreless innings in a sweep over UTSA , April 14-16. It marked the first time in program history that Tech had shutout its opponent in all three games of a conference series.

Freshman Allie Floyd excelled under Cohen as she was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Year. Floyd posted a 2.57 ERA and 1.09 WHIP with three complete games while going 8-10 with four saves in 128 innings pitched. Mary Martinez was also named to the Conference USA All-Freshman team after posting a 10-3 record and 2.12 ERA.

Cohen made an instant impact on the Tech pitching staff in 2022, helping guide the program to the 2022 Conference USA regular season title and 39 wins.

Cohen’s tutelage helped Audrey Pickett, Emma Hutchinson and Lauren Menzina combine for a team ERA of 2.95 earned run average while walking just one batter every 3.0 IP.

Pickett thrived under Cohen’s direction, earning first team all-Conference USA and first team all-Louisiana Sports Writers Association honors. She recorded a mark of 25-6 with a 2.56 earned run average, the eighth most wins in a single season by a Tech pitcher in program history and the most in 23 years.

As a staff, Tech recorded eight shutouts on the year.

Cohen’s success as a coach comes on the heels of stellar collegiate and professional playing career.

Cohen was a two-year team captain at Arkansas during her four-year playing career with the Razorbacks (2009-13). During her days in Fayetteville, Cohen finished in the top 10 in wins, innings pitched, games started, appearances, complete games, shutouts and strikeouts.

She struck out a career-high 13 in a win over Saint Louis and earned a win over No. 1 ranked Cal during the 2012 NCAA Regional. She also teamed up with Hope McLemore to toss a combined no-hitter against Kentucky on April 20, 2013. Cohen earned First Year SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2009-10.

Following her playing days at Arkansas, Cohen spent a number of years as a player and a coach on the international level, including time with Sestese Softball Club (Italy, 2018), Kenfac Phillis (South Africa, 2017-18), Zurich Barracudas (Switzerland, 2017), Legnano Softball Club (Italy, 2016), Walkerville (South Australia, 2015-16), Dornbirn Sharx (Austria, 2014) and Buenos Aires (Argentina, 2013).

Her international career was highlighted by championships in Austria and South Africa, European Cup appearances in the Czech Republic and Netherlands, and MVP honors in multiple countries.

Cohen also served as a volunteer assistant at Nevada in 2014-15 and Reed High School in the spring of 2014.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in human environmental sciences from Arkansas in 2013 while being selected by the coaching staff to participate in the Razorback Leadership Academy, designed to cultivate and enhance leadership in athletics. She earned her certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace in May (issued by the University of South Florida Muma College of Business).
