Local Officials React to Trump Assassination Attempt

New Jersey Politicians React to Failed Assassination Attempt on Former President Trump

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Local New Jersey politicians have expressed strong reactions following the failed assassination attempt on former President Donald J. Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.

Mayor Michael Reina, the Jackson Council, and the Jackson GOP extended their prayers to Trump and the families affected, stating,

"This cowardly act of violence only strengthens our resolve to win in November and take our country back," said Club President Mordy Burnstein.

Toms River First Ward Councilman Justin Lamb condemned the attack, emphasizing Trump’s resilience. "Being able to walk away, President Donald J. Trump’s projection of strength in spite of being targeted by a committed assassin was a gift from God. He is our nation’s warrior and will never let the dangerous rhetoric of the left and the demonization of the America First movement go unanswered."

Michael D. Byrne, Chairman of the Montclair Republican County Committee, criticized political opponents and the media, asserting, "They failed to impeach him. They can’t beat him in the polls. They didn’t bankrupt him. They couldn’t convict him in court. There was only one thing left to try. Biden, the Deep State, the Democrat Party, and — above all — the Fake News Media are responsible and must be held accountable on Election Day."

Mike Crispi, Chairman of the America First Republicans of NJ, highlighted the ongoing challenges Trump has faced, declaring, "President Trump has been under attack since the day he started running for President in 2015. We must stand with President Trump and fight for our country now more than ever. Today’s attack is a stark reminder of how dangerous the left’s hateful rhetoric can be. They tried to beat him with fake news, they tried lawfare, and now they have tried to assassinate him. But President Trump is the fighter we need to save this country and is truly a hero of our generation."

Biden Called For Bullseye on Trump Days Before Assassination Attempt, NYT Reports

Five days ago, President Joe Biden held a private phone call with wealthy donors. According to New York Times D.C. reporter Kenneth P. Vogel, the President called to put former President Donald Trump "in the bullseye".

"Biden told donors on a private call this afternoon, It's time to put Trump in the bullseye," Vogel reported.

In the 24 hour period leading up to the assassination attempt on Trump, the Biden campaign has been ramping up its rhetoric against the former President with comments such as "We must stop him", "Americans want a president, not a dictator" and

The campaign also began pushing a false narrative about Agenda 2025, a document pushed by the Heritage Foundation and not linked to the Trump campaign.

Biden said. "Trump has said that if he wins, he’ll be a dictator on day one. And folks, he means it. Just look at this right-wing Project 2025—the blueprint for the second Trump term. I will not let that happen."

Trump has already testified that he does not know who is behind Project 2025, but said it is not him.

For weeks, Biden and his campaign have been telling their followers that if Trump wins, Democracy will die in America.

One person, who had an issue with Trump today tried to assassinate the former president, grazing him in the ear, killing one person and wounding another. That shooter was then shot and killed by law enforcement agents within seconds.

Pundits tonight are now blaming the recent ramped up rhetoric by the Biden campaign for fueling the assassination attempt on Trump. At this time,

Trump survived the assassination attempt, later posting the following on TruthSocial:

I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
